Obsidian is a black man in his mid-thirties. He has super-strength/invulnerability, the power of flight, and the ability to fire "plasma beams" from his hands.

Opal Stone
Opal is a black woman in her mid-thirties. She also has super-strength/invulnerability, the power of flight, and the ability to fire "plasma beams" from her hands.

Plasma Beams
The Black Heroes fire plasma beams from their hands. The beams are super-hot and very destructive. 
An unfortunate side effect lies in the plasma itself, which often sloughs off the main beam, falling to the ground and burning anything it touches. This makes the Heroes use their power very selectively, as they want to avoid collateral damage.
